Roasted pork in sake with leeks and white rice – tender slices of organic pork marinated in sake, which are then roasted with leeks, sweet white miso and ginger juice. A wonderful, comforting dish for a cold January day! £7.00

Salmon ishikari-nabe stew with white rice (v) – originally a simple fisherman’s stew cooked on the beach using salmon caught in the mouth of the Ishikari river, in North Japan. This version contains daikon radish, carrot, potato, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms and scallions, all cooked in a kelp broth with white miso. £7.00


Gomadofu (v) – home-made nutty rich sesame tofu served on a bed of bright green kale, is a classic in temple vegetarian fare £2.50

Japanese ‘cabbage and pepper’ slaw (v) – a warmer, spicier and healthier version of the American cole-slaw with shredder Savoy cabbage, yellow onion, spicy pepper with a sesame miso dressing £2.50

Miso soup (v) – the real deal, made fresh with our unique dashi broth and miso paste, served with spring onions and wakame seaweed £1.50
